Victreebel is a dual-type Grass/Poison Pokémon introduced in Generation I. Victreebel is a large, plant-like Pokémon that is primarily yellow in coloration. Its head is small and leaf-like with a point at the top, and it has red eyes with white pupils. Victreebel has a long neck and a round body supported by six thin legs. Its mouth is huge and releases a sweet fragrance; Victreebel’s saliva is said to be incredibly sticky. Around Victreebel’s neck is a collar of pointed leaves, and Victreebel has two leafy wings on its back. Victreebel also has a small tail.
Victreebel is carnivorous and will lure its prey with the sweet scent released from its mouth. When an unsuspecting victim gets close enough, Victreebel will quickly swing its head around and swallow the victim whole. Victreebel can then digest the victim in as little as two seconds. Victreebel lives in forests near water sources, such as rivers or lakes.
Victreebel can be found in Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, and Alola. It evolves from Weepinbell when exposed to a Leaf Stone. It is the final form of Bellsprout. In Generation I, Victreebel has the highest index number of all non-glitch Pokémon. Victreebel and its pre-evolved forms are based on carnivorous pitcher plants.
