There are a few clichés that a lot of cartoons (and anime) fall into, one of which is the primary cast of characters wearing the same attire in every episode. Vash also wears his trademark round orange sunglasses in addition to his recognizable long red trench coat and spiked updo.
Vash, on the other hand, frequently finds himself in legal difficulty and is engaged in risky fights that inevitably result in the smashing of his distinctive glasses. Vash appears to be well-prepared, though, as his spectacles always miraculously reappear in the next episode.
Although he is 150 by the start of the series, being a Plant, his body doesn’t physically age past his mid-20s. He and his twin brother Knives are “autonomous” plants, able to use their tremendous vitality to do amazing destructive acts.
