In the world of acting, voice-over work is not a profession where many people would assume actors would improvise or adlib lines. This is particularly true of anime that is derived from a webtoon or manga. Many people don’t consider that lines were added or changed because the story is told in the source material.
The voice actresses for Bam (Taichi Ichikawa) and Rachel (Saori Hayami) opened up about what it was like to work on Tower of God in an interview. Hayami admitted that he “ad-libbed a lot” when it came to Kenta Miyake’s portrayal of Rak.
