President Thomas S Monson was an exemplary leader and role model. Born in 1927 in Salt Lake City, President Monson was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to serve as President and Prophet of the church from 2008 until his passing in 2018. President Monson had a special connection with people – from those he served during wartime to the smallest child, he ever greeted in a line.
