Thomas S Monson is an amazing person with some fun and interesting facts about him.
He was the 16th president and prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, commonly referred to as the Mormon church. Thomas was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1927 and was ordained an apostle at 36 years old. Fascinatingly, Thomas held a pilot’s license and enjoyed flying small aircraft! Thomas also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, married Frances Beverly Johnson when he was 22 years old, and traveled extensively throughout his life to visit people all over the world. Not surprisingly Thomas touched many lives due to his work within the LDS church and his other charitable activities; Thomas was known as a champion for those in need! Thomas passed away at 90 years old on January 2nd, 2018, however, his memory will continue to live on.
