Pidgeotto is a large, powerful Pokémon that is based on a hawk. Pidgeotto has brown plumage on its back and wings and a cream-colored belly. Its head is round with black eyes, and it has a hooked beak and two pointed tufts of feathers on each side.
Pidgeotto has a long neck, legs, and tail. Pidgeotto is very aggressive and territorial and will drive off any attackers with fierce gusts of wind. Pidgeotto nests are high in the mountains, where they can keep an eye out for potential prey.
Pidgeotto typically preys on small insects and rodents, which it snatches up with its sharp claws. Pidgeottos are also known to occasionally eat berries. Pidgeottos are very strong flyers, and can reach speeds of up to 90 mph!
Pidgeottos are also capable of using their powerful sense of smell to track down prey from great distances. Pidgeottos evolve into Pidgeot at level 36. Pidgeottos are popular Pokémon, both in the games and in the anime series. In the anime, Ash Ketchum has a Pidgeotto that he caught as a Pidgey.
Pidgeotto can spy prey from over 160 kilometers away! Pidgeotto sheds its feathers twice a year. These feathers are then used by Pidgey Pokémon to line their nests. Pidgeottos have been known to help lost humans find their way back to civilization.
