Did you know that Saitama once struggled to pay the bills?
Building on the previous point, Saitama occasionally experienced financial difficulties. He had been working part-time jobs before joining the Hero Association to support his very frugal lifestyle. He basically lived off of vegetables, and even now, after joining the Hero Association, he still does it occasionally. Given that Genos now pays his rent, he also had trouble making ends meet, which is another issue that continues into the series.
It would appear that being a hero for fun doesn’t pay well, but at least it makes Saitama a more relatable character.
