Here are some fun facts about this anime!
- Mei and the Kittenbus features a 13-minute “sequel” by Miyazaki, but it hasn’t been released or aired yet. It was initially only displayed for a brief period of time and is now only displayed in the Ghibli Museum [1]. Periodically, it returns there; most recently, it did so from 1–31 January 2008.
- Additionally, Totoro had a fleeting cameo in Pompoko, another Studio Ghibli film.
- A Totoro item can be seen in the bubbles scene of the first Digimon movie, “Digimon Adventure (The Movie)”. The English version of this scenario was condensed, and Totoro is not present.
