Monarch facts!

They Are Poisonous Monarch larvae that consume poisonous milkweed, which is then stored in the body. Predators are made to vomit by the poison cardiac glycosides, albeit it rarely results in fatalities. The Monarch Butterfly’s vividly colored wings serve as a “warning sign” to deter hungry predators.
The caterpillars are voracious consumers. A complete milkweed leaf can be consumed by a voracious monarch caterpillar in less than five minutes. They consume 200 times as much milkweed as they weigh!
In 187, they arrived in Australia. They were brought to Australia in the 1870s and are native to Northern America.
