Machamp is a large, humanoid Pokémon with four well-muscled arms. Each arm has a three-fingered hand with a thumb extending from the pinky finger. Machamp’s head is bulbous and grey, with four red eyes set in a cross pattern.
It has large pectoral muscles, and a thin, pointed nose. Machamp’s body is blue, and it has four thick grey legs. Machamp wears a crimson belt with a golden ‘X’ buckle. Machamp is known to be a master of all forms of martial arts, and it has outstanding physical strength.
Machamp is very strong and capable of Bench Pressing 1,000 kg (2,205 lb). Its four arms can deliver 1,600 punches per second. Machamp is knowledgeable in wrestling and other grappling arts, utilizing all four limbs effectively.
Machamp is also capable of surviving nuclear blasts. Machamp appeared in the first episode of the Pokémon anime, Pokémon – I Choose You!. In the episode, it was used by Anthony to help stop a raging Onix. Machamp also appears in The Power Of One as part of Lance’s Dragonite’s dance troupe.
A Machamp also appears in Destiny Deoxys one of the many Pokémon living inside Merilyn Mansion. Machoke evolves into Machamp when traded. It is known as the Superpower Pokémon.
