Lunatone is a Rock/Psychic-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Lunatone is one of the two dual-type Rock/Psychic Fossil Pokémon, the other being Solrock. Lunatone is classified as the Meteorite Pokémon.
Lunatone lives in deserts and wastelands. It is said that when Lunatone and Solrock come together Lunatone releases a mysterious light. This light is said to be Lunatone’s soul. It evolves from Lunatip starting at level 25 during the night.
Lunatone is nocturnal and becomes active when the moon is out. Lunatone can be found near Meteor Falls. It evolves into Solrock when exposed to a Sun Stone. Lunatone, along with Solrock, was the first Pokémon to be revealed in Generation III.
Lunatone has a white, smooth body with a small face on its front. On top of its head are two small, purple eyes with black sclerae and no pupils. Around its neck is a yellow ring similar to an archery target. Its back is covered in small, yellow spots.
There are also four large rocks protruding from its back: two in the front and two in the back. These rocks are grey with black streaks running through them. Lunatone has four thin, black legs ending in blunt points. Lunatone is a floating Pokémon that resembles a cross between a UFO and a desert cactus.
