Latios is a dual-type Dragon/Psychic Legendary Pokémon introduced in Generation III. Latios is blue bipedal dragon Pokémon with a long neck, streamlined body, and small wings on its back. Its head is relatively small with red eyes and two flat fins on top.
There is an orb-like structure on its chest which contains Latios’s heart and soul. Latios can compress the soul into its body, allowing it to fly faster than the speed of sound. It also has the ability to see into the future. Latios is exclusively male and evolves from Latias starting at level 40.
Latias is Latios’s counterpart and they can transform into one another using their Soul Dew. Latios is number 377 in the National Pokédex and was introduced in Generation III of Pokémon games. In the Hoenn region, it is said that Latios and Latias bring peace and understanding to those who fight.
Latios also appears in the Pokémon movie genesect and The Legend Awakened as Cressla’s friend. Latios are that its name comes from the word “latitude” which measures how far north or south of the equator a place is located. If Latios feels threatened, it will fly away at Mach 2 speed.
Latios is mostly found in southern parts of Johto, but it can also be found in Kanto, Hoenn, and Sinnoh. Latias is Latios’s sister. The two are very close and often take care of each other when one is injured.
