You can see Joseph Joestar reading a Superman comic at the plane hijacking scene in the manga. This was changed to “Baoh” (one of Araki’s earlier works) in the anime adaptation, probably to avoid copyright issues with DC Comics. The Baohcomic’s cover, however, is based on the one of “Superman #1,” so the allusion is still there.
