Sharing a Stand is now theoretically more interesting as a result of this. DIO used a stand that was quite similar to Joseph’s Hermit Purple early in Part III. Araki admitted that his original plan was for the World to represent all Brackets. The DIO’s Hermit Purple Stand is revealed to be Jonathan’s Body Stand once this has been taken down.
Only in this instance do two distinct characters share the same Brackets in the whole franchise. That makes sense, and can probably be linked to their training with Hamon. Hamon, which both Jonathan and Joseph are experts in, is clearly a source of inspiration for Hermit Purple. Interestingly, The Passion, which links him to Jesus, rather than Hermit Purple is the unconventional document you find at Jonathan’s Stand (and as a result Steel Ball Run).
