Hoothoot (Japanese: ホーホー Hoho) is a dual-type Normal/Flying Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves into Noctowl starting at level 20. Hoothoot is an avian Pokémon with black fur covering most of its body. The lower half of Hoothoot’s body, including its feet, is brown.
Hoothoot has two large eyes on the front of its head and a beak. Hoothoot also has two small tufts of feathers on the back of its head. Hoothoot has a wingspan of over three feet. Hoothoot is most active at night, and it will hoot to communicate with other Hoothoot.
Hoothoot can also spin its head completely around. Hoothoot is known to have excellent eyesight, and it can see in complete darkness. Hoothoot can also sense the approach of any major changes in the weather. Hoothoots nesting in trees is known to have particularly strong powers of foresight.
