Here are some interesting facts about Flowers!

The yellow hibiscus (Hibiscus Brackenridge), sometimes referred to as the pua aloalo in Hawaiian, is the state flower of Hawaii. Beginning in the early 1920s, hibiscus blossoms of all hues and kinds were designated as the Territorial flower.

Hawaii’s legislature didn’t formally adopt the yellow hibiscus endemic to the Hawaiian Islands until 1988, nearly 30 years after the state was designated as the 50th in 1959.

One of the seven hibiscus species that are native to the Hawaiian Islands is the yellow hibiscus. The beautiful size and color variants that may be found today were created by farmers using other hues that were introduced to the islands and used to create special hybrids.
