Here are some fun facts about Goldeen that Trainers may not know!
Goldeen is a freshwater fish Pokemon with reddish scales. Goldeen has long, thin fins that extend from its back and forehead. Goldeen’s upper jaw is longer than its lower jaw, which is mildly hooked. Goldeen has large, clear eyes. Goldeen appears to be based on a goldfish.
Goldeen’s tailfin resembles a billowing ballgown or prom dress, which could explain why it is popular among young women Trainers. Goldeen’s Japanese name is the same as its English one. Goldeen may be a combination of golden and queen or king (referring to its flowing fins).
Goldeen may also derive from golly (archaic slang for very), however, this word itself may have come from goldfish. Goldeen is classified as the Pokemon in the National Dex at #118. It evolves into Seaking starting at level 33.
“Goldeen” is the common name for members of the carp family (Cyprinidae), particularly those of the genera Carassius and Rutilus, though other genera in the family include Leuciscus, Scardinius, Tinca, and others. Goldeen’s height is 3’11” and weighs 79.4 lbs.
Goldeen’s moves are Peck, Water Gun, Supersonic, Horn Attack, Fury Attack, and Water Pulse. Goldeen can also learn Aqua Tail, Signal Beam, Soak, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Blizzard, Psychic, Hidden Power, and Scald.
