Unicorn Facts!
Lancelot is another well-known unicorn, despite the fact that this one-horned fellow wasn’t actually a horse. He was an animal. He came in groups of four. Sounds unsettling? This is due to Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus’s 1980s hoax of “The Living Unicorn.”
Lancelot was created through surgical intervention, but single-horned (technically, antlered) deer have been found in the wild. Due to a genetic abnormality, an Italian deer was born in 2008 with only one antler. A Slovenian hunter shot a roe deer with one horn in 2014. The alleged malformation of this deer was probably brought on by an injury sustained early in its life.
