Exploud is a Normal-type Pokémon introduced in Generation 3. It evolves from Loudred starting at level 40 and it is the final form of Whismur. It is known as the Loud Noise Pokémon.
Exploud is a blue, quadruped Pokémon with round eyes. Its head is largely white with red on its lower jaw, and its back is covered in fur that is longer around the shoulders. Exploud has three brown spots on its sides and one on its stomach.
Its furry tail is long and brown with a red tip. Exploud has muscular legs with two-toed feet, and three large pointed teeth in its lower jaw. There are two tufts of fur on each elbow, and Exploud has a short snout with triangular nostrils.
Exploud communicates by bellowing so loudly that it can break through Hearing Protect. This Pokémon also uses infrasound to communicate over long distances. When Exploud roars, the sound waves produced can travel over 1 kilometer.
It dwells in mountains. Exploud can be seen as a parallel to Hawlucha; both are bipedal Fighting-types that have Boxing as their signature move, both have access to Acrobatics, and both are the final evolution of their respective pre-evolutionary lines; however, Exploud is exclusively Normal-type while Hawlucha is primarily Flying-type.
