Here are some fun facts about Diglett that Trainers may not know!
Diglett (Japanese: ディグダ Digda) is a Ground-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves into Dugtrio starting at level 26. Diglett is a small, brown Pokémon that resembles a Diglett without a head. Its body is cylindrical and it has five stubby legs.
It has a dark blueBack and a white underside. Diglett’s eyes are black dots on its face. There is a patch of light brown hair on top of its head. Diglett lives in burrows underground, where it has long since ceased to evolve due to a severe lack of sunlight.
It stops if rain starts falling, as it doesn’t want to get its skin wet. Diglett only comes out of its hole when the sun is shining. Due to the holes it constantly digs, Diglett is also known as “the Mole Pokémon”. If two Diglett cross paths, they will overlap and appear as one Pokémon, due to their identical appearance. If their navigation systems were ever to go offline, they would be lost forever underground.
Diglett is herbivores that feed mainly on tree roots. They have been known to strip trees of their foliage in search of food. Diglett uses their soil because it contains nutrients that help them grow. The slender beard growing from Diglett’s chin helps it absorb these nutrients from the ground more efficiently.
Diglett is one of the few Pokémon that can learn the move “Dig.” Dig is a Ground-type move that allows Diglett to burrow underground and attack opponents from beneath them.
