Chikorita is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. Chikorita is a small, quadrupedal Pokémon with green skin. Chikorita has large, red eyes, and three dark spots on its head that form an upside-down triangle. Chikorita has two small yellow leaves on either side of its head.

Chikorita’s tail is long and leafy, with a small red flower at the tip. Chikorita evolves into Bayleef starting at level 16, which evolves into Meganium starting at level 32. Chikorita is one of the three Starter Pokémon of Johto along with Cyndaquil and Totodile.

Along with Bulbasaur, Ivysaur, Squirtle, Wartortle, Blastoise, Mudkip, Marshtomp, Swampert, Treecko, Grovyle, Sceptile, and Torterra; Chikorita is one of the fifteen Starter Pokémon currently available in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Chikorita was also one of the first event-exclusive Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Red and Blue, alongside Bulbasaur and Squirtle.

Chikorita’s main predators are Clefairy, Skarmory, Sableye, and Spiritomb. However, Chikorita will usually fight back with its leaves or beam attack before running away.
