Carnivine is a Grass-type Pokémon that evolves from Bellsprout. It is known as the Bug Catcher Pokémon. Carnivine is a green, plant-like Pokémon with a toothed mouth. It has crimson eyes with yellow scleras and angered triangles for eyebrows.

On top of its head are two black spots surrounded by yellow rings. Carnivine has two thin red vines as arms, each tipped with a small tooth. There are also four red, ovular spots on its back. At the base of Carnivine’s neck is a small, yellow bulb from which it can shoot sticky saliva.

Carnivine can attach itself to trees using this saliva and hang from the ceiling or ambush prey. Its Pokémon biology is similar to that of Venus flytraps and pitcher plants, which Carnivine may be based upon. Carnivine is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Ingrain.

Carnivine mostly inhabits murky forests and swamps. It is a carnivorous Pokémon that lures prey with a sweet scent before swallowing them whole with its toothy mouth. While it primarily eats Bug-type Pokémon, it will also consume smaller fish if necessary.

Carnivine is also capable of digestingñor even surviving inócorrosive fluids such as acid rain, due to the protective coatings. Carnivine can be found in the Sinnoh region. Carnivine can be used in battle against Flying-type, Psychic-type, and Bug-type Pokémon. Carnivine is weak against Fire-type, Flying-type, Psychic-type, and Ice-type moves.
