Here are some fun facts about Cacnea that Trainers may not know!
Cacnea (Japanese: サボネア Sabonea) is a Grass-type Pokémon introduced in Generation III. It evolves into Cacturne starting at level 32. Cacnea lives in arid areas and can pierce foes with the needles on its body.
Cacnea’s base experience yield is 140. Cacnea has a yellow body with a green, cactus-like top. Cacnea’s eyes are white with black pupils and sit on either side of its mouth.
Cacnea has two small, green leaves on its head, and five long thin leaves sprout from its back. Along Cacnea’s body are sharp thorns, which appear to be used for defense as well as offense. Cacnea’s root-like feet dig into the ground to absorb nutrients.
Cacnea can fire these thorns as projectiles. Cacnea seldom needs to drink the water due to the moisture it absorbs from the air with its root-like feet. It is primarily carnivorous, eating bugs that it traps using the sharp thorns on its body.
Cacnea is also known to eat Cacturne, despite being carnivorous. Cacturne is known to eat Cacnea when they sense rain coming.
