Here are some fun facts about Bronzong that Trainers may not know!
Bronzong is a dual-type Steel/Psychic Pokémon introduced in Generation IV. It is not known to evolve into or from any other Pokémon. Bronzong has the ability to Levitate and Bronzong used to be one of the best defensive Psychic-type Pokemon until Sylveon was introduced in Generation VI.
Bronzong is a large, round, metallic bell with multiple dents and spikes on its surface. Its “arms” are green and it has a thin tail. It has small triangular black eyes and a small, “button” nose.
Above its eyes is a black, conical growth that curves slightly forwards. Bronzong can control the psychic power within itself by expelling Bronze Bells from its tail to create a Harmonious Chime. If Bronzong is attacked by an opponent using an item, it will levitate the item with Psychic and return it to the attacker (unless the opponent holds a Grip Claw).
Bronzong will try to KO itself with Earthquake if it knows Gyro Ball. Bronzong appears to be based on a Japanese temple bell known as a bonshō, as well as bronze statue bells found in said temples. The metal plates on its body may be based on armor plating found on some statues.
Bronzong is mostly found under human ownership in mines, factories, or other areas where machines are used. However, in ancient times, it was worshipped as part of zen rituals.
