Here are some fun facts about Bellsprout that Trainers may not know!
Bellsprout is a Grass/Poison-type Pokémon that evolves into Weepinbell at level 21, who then evolves into Victreebel when exposed to a Leaf Stone. Bellsprout’s name is derived from bell pepper and sprout. Bellsprout has a rounded, green head with large oval eyes and a small mouth with two visible teeth in the upper jaw.
Its body is thin and green with wide diamond-shaped indents running down the front and back. There are three yellow flowers on its head: one on its forehead and two above its eyes. Bellsprout can emit a sticky thread from its mouth that it uses as a lasso to capture prey. It also bends its body skillfully to repel foes’ attacks.
It lives in moist, shady forests where it climbs up trees using the sticky thread it shoots from its mouth. Bellsprout usually preys on insects but may try to capture much larger prey if given the opportunity. Bellsprout can be found near water in most games, however, in Pokémon Sword Bellsprout will only appear very far away from any water source. Bellsprout has been classified as the “Binding Pokémon” and “Stalk Pokémon”.
