Ariados is a dual Bug/Poison-type Pokémon introduced in Generation II. It evolves from Spinarak starting at level 22. Ariados is a small, spider-like Pokémon. It is mostly yellow with a brown stripe running down its back.
Ariados has two large eyes, each with two small eyes on them. Ariados also has four pairs of legs. Two of these pairs are long and thin, while the other two are shorter and thicker. Ariados has a large mouth filled with sharp teeth.
Ariados also has two large pincers on its abdomen. Ariados is able to spin webs using the silk produced by its abdomens. It uses these webs to trap prey, as well as to build its nests. Ariados is also able to climb walls using the special hairs on its legs.
Ariados lives in forests and jungles. Ariados can also use this silk to swing through the air like a rope. Ariados is known to be very patient, as it can wait nearly a whole day motionless for prey to become ensnared in its web. When it feels vibrations in its web, Ariados will quickly wrap up the prey in silk before biting it.
Ariados can be a helpful Pokémon if you know how to use it properly in battle. Ariados’s biggest strength is its ability to poison opponents with its stingers and pincers. Ariados can also shoot strands of webbing at opponents to immobilize them.
